Our Beliefs

We believe there is one God and Father (Deut 6:4) who has revealed himself in the Son (Col 1:15) through the Spirit (Heb 9:14). That in Jesus Christ we find God and man, human and divine, made and unmade (2 Cor 5:19; ), never two persons, but one person with two natures. That the incarnation is the greatest biblical mystery (1 Tim 3:16) and that all of history, Old Testament and New Testament both point to Jesus Christ (Jn 5:39; Rev 13:8). The prophets foretold him, he was born of a virgin, he lived a sinless life and died on a cross, he rose again on the third day, and is returning to judge the world.

We believe that the proper and biblical response to the gospel is faith, repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus. We believe God’s promised response to faith, repentance and baptism is union with Christ, the forgiveness of sins and the Baptism of the Spirit.

We believe that the believer is sovereignly placed in the body and empowered with spiritual gifts as the Holy Spirit sees fit. We are empowered to grow and become more like Jesus in character and in actions until we meet him face to face, and our bodies are changed from corruptible to incorruptible on that great day.
